Question of the Week: What is the lowest amount you’ve spent on a Blythe?

People are always talking about the most that they’ve spent on a doll, I want to know what is the lowest amount that you’ve spent on a doll that you bought. Gifted Blythes (if you’re lucky!) do not count as you didn’t buy those. So what I’m interested in is how much you’ve spent on a doll that you’ve bought for yourself. Petites can count, but you should also include the price of a Neo in there as well!

My ‘cheapest’ Blythe so far has been my Love Mission, at the time I believe I spent ~$150USD on her, not including shipping. She was also NRFB and came quite speedy via EMS! She had arrived in under a week and I still have her today. Of course, writing this just makes me realize that I have a rather pricey collection… Oh dear.

What is the lowest amount you have spent on a Blythe?

My cheapest Blythe was a MWS with a PWP scalp. She was $75 including full MWS stock and shipping. She was in perfect condition, but since her scalp wasn’t glued down the seller reduced the price a little. I bought her a few years ago and she has since moved on. 😀

I bought a bait ADG (who was not really in terrible shape by far! Just a bad haircut and some sanding) for $40.00! I doubt I will ever get one cheaper, unless I find the dream $1.00 Kenner. Haha!

My first girl, a NRFB Simply Bubble Boom was $85, not including shipping from HobbyLink Japan, and I believe my NRFB Simply Chocolate was around the same. That site is great!!

My first Blythe, NRFB Fruit Punch, cost USD95. She was local too, so I COULD have got her just for that, but did pay postage as well. This was in July 2011. She’s a sweetie, but my God, greasy hair!

Well my cheapest was actually a custom I nabbed on Ebay. She is a Petite Wanderling. one of Lisa’s early customs. I paid $118AUD including shipping. I am her second owner. She was not in best condition but not in bad condition at all. I am amazed no one else snapped her up. 🙂

I think my cheapest was a Rosie Red Encore which I got for $100, I then shipped it off to Jess (milkyrobot) to have customized.

I picked up a hybrid Blythe (do they count?) for $AUD70 a few months ago. A full custom later and she looks a million bucks!
