QOTW: What’s your favourite Blythe mold?

There are several Blythe ‘molds’ that people can own, for the full size dolls, and they are:
- KB (Kenner Blythe) – 1972
- BL – 2001-2002
- EBL (“Excellent”) – 2002-2005
- SBL (“Superior”) – 2003-2008
- RBL (“Radiance”) – 2006-Present
- FBL (“Fairest”) – 2009-Present
- ADG (Ashton Drake Galleries) – 2005-2008
I haven’t included an image of an ADG because I didn’t have one that I had taken, also unfortunately the ADG dolls have never been very popular (both due to construction – and subsequent difficulty with customizing – and with colouring of the plastic).
What’s your favourite Blythe mold?
I really don’t have a favorite one, but if I had to choose, I think I’d go for the FBL.
For me, it has to be Kenner. There’s something so lovely about the plastic used that makes them stand apart from the rest.
Of the neos? I love BL and EBL girls, but for customising it’s RBL all the way simply because of how easy it can be. SBL girls are cute, but I can’t stand working on them… and the FBL mold (like ADG) does nothing for me, sorry!
RBL is my favorite! I have three girls- two RBL and one SBL. The FBL mold really doesn’t appeal to me at all.
Hands down, BL! I’m obsessed!
