QOTW: What other things do you collect?

In addition to my Blythe dolls, I collect doll shoes, doll clothing and cute dolly-sized miniatures (on a lesser scale though). But besides Blythe-related things, I do have other collections that sometimes don’t make appearances online. Some of it takes up more room than Blythe things, some of it takes up less room – but pretty much all of it is less expensive than my love for Blythe:

Group shot!

  • Olympic mascot items (I started with the 2008 Summer Olympics that took place in Beijing)
  • Coins (especially quarters, as I find that they’re the most interesting)
  • Buttons (in big ol’ glass jars that are nice to look at)
  • Stamps (one of my longest-running collections and I’ve collected stamps from many different countries so far)

What other things do you collect besides Blythe (and Blythe-related things)?

Wow! Mine is a very long list, but thanks for asking! Just to name a few, I love to collect: plushes, pins, pens, other dolls, bags, books, CD’s, DVD’s, keepsake boxes, electronic items, videogames, postcards, Japanese related stuff, whacky socks, journals, magnets, t-shirts, posters, ……

By the way, lovely pic! I’ve got that same Muk Muk and a smaller version of Quatchi 🙂

I used to collect vintage hatbox luggage and pretty much anything with a bulldog on it. These days, other than dolls, I collect aggravation, chronic illnesses, stomach acid, etc., etc., etc.

Right now I’m poor so I collect nothing except the occasional dvd or art book.
Animation DVD’s, Artbooks, and Comics I collect but those are related to my profession. I collect a few TV shows, figurines (not so much anymore), and plushies. I don’t collect much anymore mostly because a) I can afford it and b) I’m really saving for other things. I only have one doll, so I can’t call it a collection…Yet anyway. Does buying sketchbooks count because I buy lots of those.

Right now my priorities are things like moving out , and paying down student loans and you know food and things before I consider even collecting again. I do have a piggy bank jar with pennies and now some nickels than I put “hobby savings” into. Eventually I’ll have enough in there to splurge and hopefully buy many awesome things on my wish list.
