QOTW: Do you take photos outside?

I hate the cold and being cold, so couple that with the fact that the weather is miserable outside and I’m less-than-likely going to venture out to take photos of my dolls. On occasion, I do take photos outside.
Very, very rarely.
Like finding a perfect pearl in your first oyster kind of rare. The above photo is the closest I got to taking Maple outside for a photo this weekend.
Do you take photos of your dolls outside?
Yes – I do Blythe a Day challenge on Flickr so take lots of dolly photos …. most are indoors but sometimes low light or the daily theme …. so photo is in garden. I also photograph Blythes in public … nice parks with pretty flowers are a fav…
or when overseas … holiday loss of inhibitions makes it much easier !!!
Umm… I’ve probably taken one photo outside with my doll. But now I have 2 dolls (I received Varsity Dean for Christmas, yay) and a soon-to-be-unboxed UFO A Go-Go so I think I will be looking for more interesting places to photograph them so I’ll probably venture outside. It’s very warm down here in Australia at the moment so now is probably the time… 🙂
P.S. I LOVE Maple’s dress!
I used to but since we moved a few years ago I haven’t really gotten comfortable with it again – YET! I do have grand plans for our yard and gardens, so when I have some more privacy created through plantings, I’ll feel more comfortable. As it is right now, I don’t have much growing inside our fenced-in area, so it doesn’t provide a nice backdrop, and the outside-the-fence areas are very visible to our neighbors, so I feel too exposed to be comfortable yet (despite the fact that our neighbors are super nice and would probably be interested/supportive! Too much social anxiety on my part to be rational about it). Right now, of course, it’s super snowy and wet everywhere, so that makes me reluctant to take Blythes into that environment for fear something will get damaged. Maybe this summer!
I do take photos of my girls outside. But lately it’s been too cold for me to venture out. Typically I like to pick a location and take a few girls with me. Then I take a ton of photos and I’m all set for a month or so.
