I make it no secret that one of my favourite stock dolls is Margaret Meets Ladybug. I love her daisy pullcharm, her three sets of special eyechips, her coloured eyelids and the fact that she’s one of those ‘special’ EBL Blythes that came with some SBL parts. I think she’s fantastic and there’s not a thing I would change about her. She even came in one of the cutest boxes I had ever seen (it looks like a little house!).
There’s a few Blythes that I think don’t need anything changed about them. Some Blythes just look so beautiful in their boxes and in their stock outfits. But there are some dolls that I feel really benefit for little changes, even if it’s just a few chip changes or maybe a haircut (not done by me though, don’t worry!).
What is your favourite stock doll? What makes her special to you?

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Or… Single Awareness Day, if you prefer.
This week’s question is about… the lovey dovey-ness that exists in this world, that pertains to Blythe.
What is the nicest (or sappiest) thing that your significant other (or someone else that is special to you) has done for you that is related to Blythe?
Some examples could be that your significant other could have given you a Blythe, went shopping for your Blythe (shoes, clothes, fabrics, trims) without prompting (or maybe with a little bit of prompting…) or helped you build something for your Blythe.
Some of the nicest things that my boyfriend has done for me in regards to Blythe would probably have to be looking at photos with me and not complaining. Or just commenting (and sometimes complimenting!) on the things that I’ve made for my dolls (it’s nice to have someone else besides me think that I did an okay job!).

I’ve found myself focusing on older release dolls lately. I love looking at photos of BLs, EBLs and SBLs. RBLs don’t really grab my attention all that much (besides my own RBL dolls!) and while I’ve fallen for a few of the FBL dolls, I haven’t gotten one (yet!). I never get tired of looking at Goldie and Kozy in photos and I definitely love seeing Sunday Best and Aztec Arrival in the photos that show up on my Flickr contacts photostream (many thanks to everyone who takes photos of their BLs to keep my love for them alive).
Do you focus mainly on the older release Blythes or the newer ones?
I haven’t found very many newer release dolls that have made me very interested in them. Besides some of the FBL girls that have come out with fantastic new hair colours that haven’t before been seen (the skating Simply trio would be the ones I’m referring to), most of them just haven’t peaked my interest in a way that those BLs and EBLs do.

There’s a lot of cute little things that I love to put on my Blythes or have them hold because to me, once things are small and doll-sized, they get even more cute than they already were. This applies to everything from dresses, hats, necklaces, laptops and especially shoes!
But there’s so much more to what little things we own for our Blythes beyond dresses and shoes (!!!), no matter how cute they are. And this week’s Question of the Week is inspired by the fact that I realized how much stuff I own that’s doll-related or dolly-sized now.
What is your favourite Blythe accessory that you own?
To answer my own question, my favourite Blythe accessory that I own is a pair of black glasses (clear lenses). They don’t fold, but the pair of glasses pretty much stays permanently on one of my dolls (Belarus – Love Mission) because they suit her personality and it really makes her my Mini-Me when she has them on (only I don’t look as awesome!).

For those who are new to BlytheLife.com, Blythe On A Budget is a mostly weekly article that comes out on Wednesdays that is all about enjoying the Blythe hobby without breaking the bank (or needing to rob one). It’s all to do with how to enjoy the hobby with what you have or without needing to spend a lot of money – this is great for those who are on a limited budget or just don’t want to overspend or just want to have fun (or all three).
What I’m interested in from you is:

Share your thrifty experiences or ideas and you could see it showing up on a Blythe On A Budget installment later on this year!
