2010 is coming to an end tonight and 2011 is just about to begin! I’m quite looking forward to the new year for a multitude of reasons, there’s a lot of great things that will be happening in 2011:

• I will hopefully be finishing up my degree in December of 2011 (it still feels weird thinking about that)
• BlytheCon 2011 will be occurring in June in Portland, Oregon
• There is a very high likelihood that I will be going to BlytheCon 2011 (!!!)
• July 1st will be the one year anniversary of BlytheLife.com

There is a lot of great things that are happening in 2011, but what I’m interested in is:

What are your doll-related New Year’s resolutions for 2011?

Some of my doll-related New Year’s resolutions include:

• For every 1 clothing item I purchase, I need to crochet/knit/sew 2 articles of clothing (this does not apply to shoes because I have no clue where to begin to learn how to cobble shoes)
• Change my doll’s clothes more frequently
• Take more photos of my dolls
• Organize my dolls’ clothes better (and more efficiently)
• Take my dolls out more often outside of the house for photos

So… What are your doll-related resolutions and what are you looking forward to in 2011?

What I want to know this week, seeing as how Christmas (my winter holiday of choice) is at the end of the week:

For me, I celebrate Christmas and all I want for the holidays is to spend an entire day playing vintage video games and just hanging out with my boyfriend.

So I thought I would start a new category of posts: Questions of the Week! I’m not sure if I’ll actually get a new question up every single week, it all depends on if I a) remember or b) can come up with something, so we’ll see how it goes!

I know we all have our own little wishlists of what Blythes we want to get next. Or at least most of us do, because it’s sort of just how the hobby goes. You get a new Blythe and you’re still thinking about all the other ones that you don’t have yet. Because that’s just the way things go. If only Blythes were as expensive as cars, maybe we wouldn’t be considering getting a new one all the time (although, I don’t know, some cars are fairly inexpensive and some Blythes could pay for my university tuition for a full term, plus maybe even the textbooks).

At the top of my wishlist (besides a Kenner!) would be Sunday Best and Aztec Arrival, both BLs and both kinda whimsical and shy looking. I adore looking at photos of them!

So this week’s question of the week is:

What’s your top (or few top) dream wishlist Blythes? As in, if you had the most unlimited amount of funds ever, what doll would you get?

This question is excluding: Kenners.

But this question does include: stock dolls, customized dolls, anniversary dolls and super-hard-to-find Blythes.
