QOTW: What are your 2013 Goals & Wishes?

Written on December 31, 2012 at 12:00 pm by Michelle
Filed under: Musings

It’s that time of the year again where people make resolutions, write out their goals and wishes for the upcoming new year.

A lot of the time, it just seems like one big shopping list for the new year, but sometimes it’s not. For instance, here are my Blythey goals and wishes for the new year:

  • Doing more interviews and giveaways on BlytheLife – are you interested?
  • Doing a closet and shoe clean out
  • A 365 with Eden Mouse – starting tomorrow!
  • An addition of a BL, lucky Blythe #13 – likely Aztec Arrival
  • Wishing for the arrival of a Middie (#1)
  • The acquiring of squishy vintage Barbie boots (white, tan (arrived in December), brown and pink)
  • Celebrate the ‘birthdate’ of each doll this year as they come

I think that my 2013 goals are fairly attainable and I hope to be able to cross all of them off (although, if I cannot add an Aztec to the doll family in the next year, I’ll be okay with that too!)

What are your 2013 goals and wishes?

Friday Five: 016

The last Friday of every month is part of a feature on BlytheLife.com, Friday Five. Welcome everyone to this month’s installment! I mention 5 things I love every month.

For the month of December I wanted to share several doll related blogs that I love, that I read and that I recommend. Some of these blogs have been featured before – but they’re just that good.

  1. My Plastic Fantasy – by Alice
  2. 222.org – by Katie
  3. Makie Couture – by Dr Duckie
  4. CraftyGirl* – by Emily
  5. Smidge House – by Carmen

December’s Friday Five will be the last of the regular monthly installments of the column. I will have sporadic Friday Five installments in the future, so it’ll still be around – just not every month. 2013 marks a new year and I have many new  things to showcase on the blog! I hope you’ve enjoyed the Friday Five series.

Blog Blurb Wednesday: Introduction

One of the new features on BlytheLife for 2013 is Blog Blurb Wednesday where I’ll be introducing to you all to Blythe related blogs here on the blog. It won’t be happening every week – I have a lot of fun things that I want to get out onto the internet in 2013 and this is definitely one of them!

If you’re a fellow doll blogger and you’re interested in being featured in Blog Blurb Wednesday, I have a handy dandy little questionnaire form for you all to fill out. I will email interested people with the date of when they will be featured here so they know when to anticipate it. There are some requirements to being featured on Blog Blurb Wednesday, which you can find here.

I hope you’re all looking forward to the new content for 2013 as much as I am!

QOTW: Your dream holiday gift?

Eeeeeek, so stinkin' adorable. As little kids who are looking forward to Santa’s gifts tomorrow morning are going to sleep tonight with sugar plums dancing in their head, I will be going to sleep with little dreams of my own wishes and wants for the holiday season.

I’d love another TLC Kenner, but I really don’t think that it’s in the cards for me for a long time now (at least until I’m done with school). School takes up a lot of money and I don’t have spare funds for another Kenner, even one in need of help.

Alternatively, I’d love to get an Aztec Arrival (BL). BL is the only mold that I currently don’t have in my dolly family so it’d be great to have one, plus I love Aztec’s long, long, long bangs. Sunday Best (also a BL) would be a good alternative to Aztec as I also love her long, long bangs. No money right now, of course.

I am hoping to get some gifts from family in the form of money. “Fun money” is always great to have and I’d love a pair of vintage pink squishy Barbie boots (for the one and only Eden Mouse). As you can see, those boots are missing from her pink footwear collection.

And lastly, I’m hoping for chocolate! Short of buying my own post-holiday chocolate and candies (which happens after Valentine’s, Halloween and Christmas every year), I do like getting chocolate for the holidays! My favourites include hazelnut hedgehogs and Lindt double-milk chocolate.

The most spoiled little doll in the world.
