QOTW: If money wasn’t an obstacle…

I was recently asked this question and it made me think a bit. There are so many dolls that I have considered getting, and many of them are worth the time to save up for. Usually my stock answer is one of the dolls I’ve been wishing after for a while (Aztec Arrival or Mondrian), but then I really thought about it. If money were truly not an obstacle, I’d probably have a Parco.

For those who are new to the Blythe hobby, or don’t pay attention to older releases, Parco was the first Blythe produced by Takara. She was the first Blythe on a Licca body and she was a pretty little thing. She doesn’t come up for sale often, and is notoriously difficult to find with stock. And truth be told, if I had the funds I’d get her. Parco is like a piece of Blythe history. The popularity of Parco helped lead Blythe to what she is today, and I really like that. Plus, she’s rather fabulous.

If money wasn’t an obstacle, which stock Blythe would you get?

Probably Darling Diva or Fashion Obsession.
Any of the older ones with tons of stock and fancy boxes would be lovely.

I’m not big on stock dollies these days, but a Kenner would be nice. Plus, there are dozens of stock outfits I would love to buy for the dolls I already have. I also dream about buying them all the lovely furniture artists make for Blythe dolls. That would probably be my biggest indulgence. I’m not into jewels or fancy designer duds and mega expensive vehicles. Just give me some toys, and I’m happy, lol!

I think I would like Miss Sally Rice (that mint hair), and Dainty Biscuit (who while not extraordinarily expensive, is still out of my budget for a stock Blythe). Right now my mind is on customs! And kenners!

Right now there isn’t a stock Blythe in my wishlist. As I have said before, I’m just waiting for the right Middie to appear. But if I had tons of money, I think I would start by buying a bigger house where I could have a room solely for dolls, then I would get all the dolls I fancied.

Parco is so sweet 🙂 I think mine would be a Goldie, though!

I’d love to own all of the BLs. I’d also love to get a Kenner of every type, most of the translucent dolls, and Vinter Arden!
