BlytheLife is looking for help! I am going to be super busy very soon with school and I need help with writing posts and keeping the site up! And how can you help out BlytheLife?

Contribute posts!
I would greatly appreciate help with writing posts. There is no minimum and no maximum to how much you can contribute, all I’m looking for people who love Blythe and love writing and want to give back to the doll community. There is more information on contributing and article guidelines. If you want to contribute a one-off post, that’d be great. If you want to do a regular column, that’d be fantastic and would help with keeping the content fresh with a new perspective!

Advertise here!
Funds from advertisements go towards the hosting fees for BlytheLife.com, which help keep the website up and available to you! You already know that BlytheLife.com is an active doll-related website and if you have a shop or site that’s geared towards dolls, you know that you can reach your target audience through this site. Click here for more information on advertising on BlytheLife.com

Link back to BlytheLife!
A link back, on your side bar or when you’re writing about this site, helps! You can link back with one of the buttons, make your own or use a text link! If you do decide to blog about BlytheLife, be sure to let me know so I can link back to you!

Did you know that if you have a Blythe/doll related blog that I’ll link to it from BlytheLife.com? Now you do!

All you have to do is pop over to the Links page (make sure your blog isn’t already listed!) and scroll down to a handy little form where you fill out your name, email, site URL, what kind of site you have (blog/forum/etc.) and if you’ve already linked back to BlytheLife.

If you’re looking for buttons to link back to BlytheLife.com, you can find them at the Link Back page.

Share Your Middie Wares!

March 17 2012 - Middie girl!

I want to feature on as many shops online where Middie things can be bought!

Middie hasn’t been around for very long, and part of the reason that some people are reluctant to purchase a Middie is because there’s a lack of patterns, clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. out there for the medium-sized dolls. I think Middies are an adorable size – I had the (un?)fortunate experience of getting to see Middies in person and fell in love with their epic pocket-sized adorableness. I think I’d like to add a Middie to the doll family in the future, so my future feature on Middie shops is both for my benefit as it is for your benefit.

The deadline for including your shop with Middie-sized items will be July 13th! All you need to do is email me at michelle@blythelife.com with the name of your shop and the URL link to the store front. I will pick an item or two from your shop to feature in my future post on Middie shops!

Note: By contributing your shop to this Middle feature, you will be granting me permission to use 1-2 photos from your shop when I feature you in the post.

Happy 2nd Birthday, BlytheLife.com!

Two years ago, I started this website and it has grown into so much more than I had ever dreamed or expected. Writing for BlytheLife has taught me a lot about the doll community and myself. You’ve all shared in the growth of my doll family (thanks to a few Kenners!) and explored with me the ever changing world of Blythe. I’ve crafted more over the past year than I ever did before. I have interviewed so many wonderful people since I started this blog, it’s been amazing.

Here is BlytheLife, by the numbers:

  • 2 years
  • 25 giveaways
  • 25 interviews
  • 337 posts
  • 150,000+ hits in May 2012!

Thank you so much to everyone for their support of BlytheLife.com since I started this blog.

If you are looking or a way to give back, I am looking for people who would be willing to do regular (or semi-regular, or even one-off) posts. If you are interested, please get in contact with me via michelle@blythelife.com or check out the How to Contribute page for more details.

If you know anyone that you think would be interested in getting interviewed for BlytheLife.com, please send me an email (michelle@blythelife.com) or refer them to the How to Get Featured page! I’m always looking forward to doing more interviews and showcasing more talent in this great dolly community!

I get emails from time to time from people who have just found BlytheLife or have been reading it since I started this website back in 2010. A lot of the comments and feedback have been positive and I’m always so happy to know that people like this website and read it (because what’s the point in a blog without readers?). I’ve been asked how readers can contribute back to the website so I figured I’d come up with a list:

  • Write an article and have it posted here! I love getting submission of articles and you can also contribute a lot of different other things as well. Read more on the How to Contribute page.
  • Offer up suggestions for what you would like to see in the future! It’s a great way to help me when I’m not feeling particularly creative and there’s a handy email form on the Suggestions page.
  • Advertise on BlytheLife! There are three paid advertisement spots and the funds from your sponsoring BlytheLife goes towards the domain name and hosting costs, as well as money to go towards shipping of prizes that come from me. You can check out the details about advertising here.

You can also help BlytheLife with getting more readers by talking about the site on your blog or adding a button to your site!
