A Suggestions Survey

In just a few weeks, BlytheLife.com will be turning one year old! I’m very excited that the site has managed to survive for so long as well as all the lovely visitors that come back to check out the new content on a daily basis. As BlytheLife.com heads into year 2 of existence, I’d like to ask for your help! And here’s a handy-dandy little survey for you to answer for me:

  1. What kind of articles have you liked reading in the past? What kind of articles do you want to see in the future?
  2. Was the doll blogging series useful to you? Would you like to see more articles on creating your own doll site/blog?
  3. What kind of D.I.Y. tutorials do you want to see? (Keep in mind that I have limited mental capacity for sewing intricate things…)
  4. Did you like reading my interviews with customizers and crafters in our dolly community? Who would you like to see me ask to do an interview with me next?
  5. What methods of giveaway entries did you like? What other methods of entering giveaways would you like to see used on BlytheLife.com?
  6. What do you want to see more of in the future, in general, here on BlytheLife.com?

I’ve just started reading so I can’t say much about what more I’d like to see, or how I feel about past articles… so far-so good! I love tuning into this blog :).

I do have an idea though… I’ve always wanted a mini-me blythe, so I think it would be fun to feature a few volunteers with mini-me blythes and talk about how/why they chose the doll they chose, what changes were made to make the doll more similar to themselves (hair, eyes, face up), custom outfits that match perhaps, or glasses? Oh, and also include a picture of the owner and dolly!

Hello there! I started following your blog a few months ago when I decided to buy a Blythe clone, back in the day when I thought that was the only doll I’d ever buy. You see, here in Argentina Blythe collecting can be a very expensive thing. Nevertheless, things didn’t quite turned out as I expected because I’m now waiting for my second doll, a Punkaholic People that will be named Briseida. See, I finally bought one ‘real’ Blythe doll.
Anyway, all this is to say that I really enjoy reading yout blog. I’m also sewing-challenged (haha) but I’m trying to learn so what I really really like are your sewing tutorials, because they are simple and very very user-friendly. Just a couple of weeks ago I followed your tutorial on how to make a dress from a sock, and it’s a piece of cake!! So I would love to have more of those 🙂
Still, I really enjoy reading the site and all of the sections have something appealing. Keep up the good work!!

Regards from the South Cone 😀

I LOVE Love love – the interviews. I started collecting the girls a year ago too – and I still can’t figure out who and where certain designers are….You have really hooked me up with some great resources! Thank YOU!

I love the interviews…especially giveaways! Who doesn’t like free stuff?!
Tutorials are always fun, as well as the questions of the week. I think overall this is one of the most structured and well orchestrated blogs I follow!

If you run out of sewing related tutorials, you could always throw in some about staging/photographing…show a great shot and then how you staged it, etc. Lots of forum questions are about photos and such.

    Happy one year!

    1. What kind of articles have you liked reading in the past? What kind of articles do you want to see in the future?

    Mostly people’s interviews.

    2. Was the doll blogging series useful to you? Would you like to see more articles on creating your own doll site/blog?

It was OK. I knew most of what you said but you added some nice and useful insights.

    3. What kind of D.I.Y. tutorials do you want to see? (Keep in mind that I have limited mental capacity for sewing intricate things…)

Maybe you could ask other people to join you in the tutorials 😉

    4. Did you like reading my interviews with customizers and crafters in our dolly community? Who would you like to see me ask to do an interview with me next?

You can find them! Maybe I Have Wings, or Poupée Mecanique (I think you didn’t interview them).

    5. What methods of giveaway entries did you like? What other methods of entering giveaways would you like to see used on BlytheLife.com?

Raffles. The twitter thing is too intrincate.

    6. What do you want to see more of in the future, in general, here on BlytheLife.com?

That you keep up the good work! I really like your blog!
